For our latest Surprise Supplies giveaway, we would like to hear about the people, groups and charities that went above and beyond to ensure those in the local community were cared for throughout the pandemic.
Whether someone went out of their way to do shopping for vulnerable people, a school had a creative way to help engage children with home schooling, or a community group still found a way to bring everyone together even if it wasn’t in person, we would like to hear about it.
From all the applications received, we will choose a selection to go through to a vote where the public will be asked to decide two winners. Each winner will receive £1,000 to spend at their local RGB branch.
Tom O’Leary, Branch Manager at RGB Holsworthy, commented:
“Throughout the pandemic, we’ve all heard stories about amazing people who have done wonderful things in their community, such as raising money for charity, or ensuring no one is alone, and it’s these people we want to recognise with this Surprise Supplies giveaway. On offer is the chance to receive £1,000 to spend at an RGB branch, which can be used by an individual to do something in their own home, or a group, charity or school to complete a project for their community.”
Nominations and applications can be made by emailing RGB@pmwcom.co.uk and explaining how a person or group has supported their community over the past 18 months and how £1,000 worth of materials would help a project. Nominations can also be posted to RGB Community Fund, c/o PMW, PO Box 167, Bideford, Devon, EX39 9DU. The closing date is Saturday 31st July.
